Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster
High Speed Demonstration on closed
Miami International Airport Runway

Miami-Dade County Officials Host First-Ever, High-Speed Demonstration

Miami, Florida, ? Today at Miami International Airport five
new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadsters sped down the south
runway of the busiest U.S. airport for international flights. With special
authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) and Miami-
Dade County the Lamborghinis, for the first time ever, exceeded the
passenger airliner takeoff speed on a runway which is between 150 mph and
180 mph. No current jet aircraft reaches 210 mph on the ground, the clocked
speed of the 700-horsepower vehicles during the closed-course drive
demonstration.

Prior to the high speed demonstration, the Lamborghinis were joined by an
American Airlines Boeing 777 and lined-up for a photo shoot on the runway.
Due to integrated planning on behalf of Miami-Dade officials and the FAA,
there was no impact on flight arrivals and departures.
Today?s event, the kick-off of a 10-day media launch and dealer education
program, began with an unveiling press conference in Lummus Park at Miami
Beach. The ceremonies continued with a 50-vehicle parade down Collins
Avenue in South Beach before culminating in the runway drive. Lamborghini
executives hosting the press conference included Stephan Winkelmann,
President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., as well as Maurizio
Reggiani, Director of R&D, Raffaello Porro, Director Communications and
External Relations, and Filippo Perini, chief designer.
?It has been a great pleasure to work with the Miami-Dade Aviation
Department and South Beach teams on today?s amazing demonstrations.
I have never seen something similar at a Lamborghini event,? said Stephan
Winkelmann. ?The Aventador Roadster is our most exciting production car
ever and I can think of no better place to celebrate its launch than here in Miami.?

The Aventador Roadster is the newest open-top version of Lamborghini's
flagship vehicle. With a 700-horsepower, 6.5-liter V12 engine, the Aventador
Roadster reaches 60 mph in less than three seconds and boasts a top speed
of 217 mph. The vehicle?s removable top features high-tech, lightweight
carbon fiber technologies to achieve a low weight of just 26 pounds.
?Lamborghini is a forward-thinking brand, and today?s event on our runway
was an all-around success,? said Ken Pyatt, Miami-Dade Deputy Aviation
Director. "Both our organizations are focused on efficient performance and
providing our customers with innovations."

Lamborghini deliveries grow substantially in 2012, strong demand continues for award-winning Aventador.
- Lamborghini worldwide deliveries to customers grew by 30% to 2,083 units
- USA leading growth in worldwide major markets (+53%)
- European sales up by 34%
- 2013 marked by 50th Anniversary celebration and new dimensions in motorsport

Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., the Italian
luxury super sports car manufacturer, increased worldwide deliveries to
customers in 2012, from 1,602 to 2,083 units. This represents a 30% growth
compared to the previous year and the third consecutive year of growth.
?In spite of ongoing worldwide financial and economic uncertainties,
Lamborghini has delivered a very satisfying performance in 2012, confirming
the strength of our product and commercial strategy. We will continue to
work on the development of our product range to address further growth in
the future,? said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili
Lamborghini S.p.A.
The growth is driven by the first full year of sales for the new Aventador LP
700-4 (922 units) while the Gallardo confirms its status as the most
successful Lamborghini ever with an almost stable performance compared
to 2011 (1,161 units sold in 2012) and reaching a total of more than 13,000
cars delivered since its launch.
Lamborghini is a global brand and sales distribution is well balanced among
the three regions: Europe 29%, America 28% (of which USA is 25%) and
Asia Pacific 35% (of which China accounts for 15%). The Middle East and
South Africa account for 8%.
Despite global market headwinds Lamborghini grew in Europe by 34%
versus 2011, in the Americas by 50% (USA +53%) and in Asia Pacific by
9%.
In 2013 the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster, the most extraordinary open top
super sports car, will join the successful coupé. Initial pre-order expectations
for this model have been exceeded and the order bank for both versions
covers the next 15 months.
For 2013, a focus for the ?raging bull? brand includes further investments
into Lamborghini Motorsport. Following four seasons in Europe and the first
season in Asia, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo has made its mark
as the only one-make four-wheel drive series and the fastest one-brand
racing series in the world. In 2013, the series will run on three continents,
entering the USA with a new series for the Americas.

In addition, Lamborghini will officially enter the globally established GT3
series worldwide with the Gallardo. Complementary racing activities for
drivers at other skill levels will also be offered.
In 2013, Lamborghini will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company?s
foundation. Dozens of activities around the world will be held to honor the
great past, present and future of the brand. With the greatest reunion of
Lamborghini drivers from around the world ever to be held in Italy in May,
the ?Grande Giro Lamborghini 50th Anniversary? will lead hundreds of
Lamborghinis and their owners on a tour through magnificent Italian cities
and landscapes. The tour will finish in Sant?Agata Bolognese, the birthplace
and hometown of Automobili Lamborghini, in a festive tribute on May 11.

Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.

The ultimate open-air experience: Automobili Lamborghini presents the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster

On the heels of the successful coupe introduced in Summer 2011, and with over 1,300 units already delivered to customers, the House of the Raging Bull is now offering the convertible version of the Aventador, a vehicle that perfectly balances the ultimate driving experience with the ultimate in sports car sophistication.

The new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster can immediately be recognized by the unique profile of its upper area, which extends along newly designed geometric lines from the removable roof to the engine hood.

The Roadster's design is the result of a careful study into the best way of combining performance, elegant style, ease of use and a driving experience that excites all five senses.

The two-piece roof is made entirely from carbon fiber using various technologies such as RTM and Forged Composite®. These technologies guarantee maximum aesthetic performance and stiffness although each component is extremely light, weighing less than 6 kg. These two parts are removable, easy to handle, and being lightweight and simple to attach, can be stored in the front luggage compartment. In just a few seconds the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster can be admired in all its luxurious beauty.

The rear pillar has been redesigned to offer total support for the removable roof, accommodate an automatic protection system for passengers, and provide the engine compartment with ample ventilation.

Right at first glance, it?s noticeable that the engine hood on the Roadster differs from the hood on the coupé because of its central ?spinal column? with two pairs of hexagonal windows connected at the sides as if they were hyper-tech armor plates. Their purpose is to cool the engine, drain off rain water properly and, of course, allow the beauty of the V12 power unit to be admired.

The driver of the Aventador Roadster and his passenger can decide for themselves how intensely they would like to enjoy the driving experience. The powered rear windshield not only influences the flow of air in the vehicle, but also controls the experience of the sound from the twelve-cylinder engine. The wind deflector, on the other hand, delivers almost complete calm inside the car, even at high speed. It rests on the front windshield frame and can likewise be stored in the luggage compartment when not in use.

The Aventador Roadster is also equipped with door windows with chamfered edges, which always ensure a perfect fit into the hard-top seal, and underline the sharp side profile of the car.

The body of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster sports a two-tone finish, as the windshield pillar, the two roof sections and the rear window area up to the ?fins? are painted in gloss black. The visual effect is that of a completely open vehicle with sleek lines combining perfectly balanced sportiness and elegance.

The range of colors available for the Roadster has been supplemented with a very light, metallic blue color, Azzuro Thetis, whose tone varies with the angle of the light. This color recalls the shade of the extraordinarily beautiful 1968 Miura Roadster, and both highlights and reinforces the lines of the vehicle by adding strength and dynamism.

Even the interior has a new look. The use of leather called Sabbia Nefertem highlights the superb hand-made craftsmanship of the upholstery from Sant' Agata Bolognese and is a perfect match for the exterior in Azzuro Thetis. Finally, the new Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster also features new Dione 20?/21? rims with a daring, aggressive look. Crafted in light forged aluminum, they lower the weight of the vehicle by 10 Kg as compared with the standard set of rims.

The new Aventador LP700-4 Roadster boasts record performance. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3 seconds flat and has a maximum speed of some 350 km/h.

These numbers, combined with a drive train featuring a centrally located, 6.5 liter aspirated V12 generating 700 hp, an ISR 7-speed gearbox and push-rod suspension make the new Aventador Roadster a unique super sports car with no direct competition.

Of course the Roadster's V12 also includes a cylinder deactivation system when the engine is working at partial capacity, while the innovative, instant Stop & Start system includes high-performance capacitors known as supercaps to awaken the engine. This is an absolute first in the super sports car segment.

News Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 :
